What a view!

Back in November, we worked in Miami on a private event at our client's beachfront home. The color scheme was brown, green and blue, in keeping with that "beach" feel. We kept the florals simple but elegant and added seashells to the tables to keep the motif. Here are a few photos - we definitely had a nice view to work in!

The Black Rooster Bakery

Marche Ann uses a lot of old family recipes, so we made a photo/recipe wall of family pictures, recipes, and momentos that she has held onto.

A favorite client and friend, Marche Ann Mann, opened a bakery in Fort Worth about a month ago (www.blackroosterbakery.com). She's been to culinary school and perfected the art of baking amazing breads. She also serves sweet treats and coffee. Recently, we had the privilege to help her out with the finishing decor touches at the bakery. Check out the pictures - Marche Ann did a fabulous job creating such a charming eatery. And stop by to see her if you're in Fort Worth!

SALE!

Yummy treats done by Christie McCabe

Look at this amazing pillow!

We had our Christmas Sale last week. It was MADNESS! We had a line gathering at the door before we opened - a flood of about 20 people filed in when we finally opened the doors. Mom did an amazing job setting up our "winter wonderland". And we had some amazing sweet treats again from my sister-in-law (dailydoseofsweet.squarespace.com). Enjoy looking!

It's been toooo long!

Hello friends,

My apologies!!! The past month has been a whirlwind! We've been back to Miami and started the Christmas decorating rush. We had 8 Christmas set-ups just last week alone. I've taken some photos along the way and will update those sometime this weekend. My camera bit the dust so all photos have been taken on my iPhone :( so they're not the greatest quality, but it at least gives you an idea. Will post those soon!

Happy Fall!

I have to apologize that it's been a couple weeks since I last posted. It's been a whirlwind! We've had several special events that have had us tied up over the weekends, so those on top of our usual work week, it's been a hectic time. But we can't complain...we're blessed to have business and work with the wonderful customers and clients that we do.

I love Fall! It's my favorite time of year. Enjoy these pictures of an outdoor set-up we just finished for some of our dearest clients. You'll see a fabulous outdoor living area, adorned with furniture, potted plants, a dining table, along with a fun, fall table setting.

Spooky

For the past several years, we've decorated one of our client's Preston Hollow homes for Halloween. Each year, she and her husband host a huge costume party, and we have the privilege of helping her get her home nice and spooky. Here are just a few shots...

The Trump, Minerva, and 18 hrs....

First shot is our view at the Trump, Second is our view at the job site!

This is the tent "before", Mom hanging chandeliers, and making napkin rings...

"Minerva"!, along with some florals....

The Final Product!

Our Miami trip has already come and gone - that's so hard to believe!! We had a few long days, but our hard work paid off. The clients were happy, and we loved the final product. We were fortunate enough to stay at the Trump International Hotel while we were there - all I can say is beautiful! And our room was upgraded to a corner room on the 28th floor, with ocean and bay views. But the best part? Our own private balcony with a jacuzzi hot tub! Let's just say the warm water was great at the end of each day! Too bad we weren't there that much! Day One included a trip to the florist, making 24 florals for the interior of the home, trips to gather more candles and accessories, creating an arch made of beautiful florals that led to the pool, and decorating our "lamp lady" friend we named Minerva (the homeowners bought a lifesize "lady" lamp with the shade as her head. They decorate her all the time, so we dolled her up in the bride and groom's college attire). Day Two was an 18 hr work day. We were beat by the end! Mom and April spent a lot of time putting up the fabrications in the tent while Marisa and I put together 80 napkins with napkin rings (made of beautiful satin ribbon and a rose head). We worked hard putting together the table settings, centerpieces, hanging chandeliers in the tent, and overall putting all the finishing decor touches on the exterior of the home. Guests arrived that evening and ate, drank, and chatted. The bride and groom seemed incredibly happy and excited. After the guests chowed down on Tenderloin, Shrimp Alfredo, and Grilled Vegetables (just to name a few!), they hopped the shuttle back to the hotel so to wake early for the wedding ceremony the next morning. Our job continued until about 3 am - helping bus the tables, taking down all the decor, packing up boxes to ship back to Dallas, etc. We then drowsily headed back to the Trump and enjoyed sleeping in the following morning. We headed out of Miami feeling great about the job done. And the best part? We had such a blast doing it. We are truly so thankful for our wonderful clients that make our job possible. Here are the photos from our journey....
