Have you ever heard of Chalk Paint?!

April, Marisa and I had the fabulous opportunity of attending "Lady Butterbug's" (aka Karla) chalk paint workshop. It was not only so fun, but also so informative. This chalk paint was created by Annie Sloan ( for more info check out www.anniesloan.com), and Karla has the opportunity to stock this amazing paint. Like Karla says, this paint will make you change the way you think about painting. Check out Karla's website...www.ladybutterbug.com. Maybe next time any of you come to the store, we'll show you some of our upcoming projects using this fabulous paint. Thanks, Karla!!

Stop for Squirrels!

Before - beds had been moved and sheets on....

Coming together....

Here's the sign!

We just finished a 4 year old little boy's room. His big brother and sister had their rooms done a couple weeks ago, so little Andrew was feeling left out. We did a few additions and some re-arranging in his room.

This sweet little boy is obsessed with anything squirrel. Yes, so random, but I think it's cute. Per his mother's request, we were to add anything related to squirrels in the room. Let me just warn you - if you happen to ever need something squirrel related - they're HARD to find. We did find some cute squirrel books, but the most creative thing we did was a "Stop for Squirrels" sign. I stayed up late one night making these little squirrels to attach to the sign. My daughter and I gathered twigs and acorns to also incorporate some "squirrel life" into this sign. It turned out pretty cute I think, and most importantly....Andrew LOVED it!
